The name “F355” derives from its engine displacement of approximately 3,500cc and its 5-valve power unit.
For the first time in a Ferrari, a hydraulic tappet system was used, and a 5-valve engine was adopted, which is known for excellent intake efficiency and high-revving performance.
Ferrari developed the “F1 Matic” paddle-type 2-pedal semi-automatic system in collaboration with Magneti Marelli. This system, a direct descendant of the F1 system, was first introduced in a production car in the F355.
The F1 system has four driving modes: Normal, Sport, Auto, and Low Friction.
The interior features Cuoio leather, which exudes an elegant and refined atmosphere.
The engine management system has evolved from the Bosch Motronic M2.7 to the M5.2.
The wheels are Speedline-made, forged magnesium alloy, known for their lightweight strength.
