Porsche restomod-model 912c

A Porsche 912 with a full carbon body and a weight of 699kg is born!
KAMM Manufaktur of Hungary has developed the ‘912c’, a restomod-model based on the Porsche 912 produced from 1965 to 1969, incorporating the latest technology and materials.
The donor car is a 1966-1968 model. Of particular note is the full carbon fiber body specification introduced in the 2024 model, which reduces the vehicle weight to an astonishing 699kg.
The conventional 912c achieved a vehicle weight of 750kg by replacing other body panels with carbon fiber while retaining the original steel roof and rear quarter panels. However, the full carbon specification further reduces the weight by 50kg, to 700kg, by changing all body panels, including the roof and rear quarter panels, to high-quality carbon fiber.
This weight reduction brings the vehicle’s front-rear weight distribution closer to 50:50, significantly improving handling performance. Furthermore, improvements in aerodynamic characteristics and reductions in wind noise enhance stability during high-speed driving.
The engine is a 2.0-liter air-cooled, horizontally opposed 4-cylinder engine, producing a maximum output of 190 horsepower. This engine revs up to 7,200 rpm, and in combination with the lightweight body, it achieves a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 6.0 seconds. The top speed reaches 225 km/h, making it a model that blends classic design with modern performance.
The suspension uses coil-overs for both front and rear, adjustable in 5 stages via a switch in the cabin. The braking system features AP Racing ventilated discs and also includes a hydraulic handbrake. The wheels are 17-inch 3-piece center-lock, achieving both weight reduction and high rigidity.
The interior is equipped with a stereo system compatible with the latest smartphones and an improved air conditioning system, enhancing comfort and convenience. At KAMM, every car is truly built to order. A wide range of options is available, including seat and wheel finishes and body colors. You can focus on comfort or performance, have a roll cage and FIA seats, or space for four people, allowing for customization to meet the customer’s needs.
The price for the full carbon fiber body version of the 912c starts from 400,000 euros (approximately 63.3 million yen), including the base Porsche 912. If customers bring their own 912, the price is set at 360,000 euros (approximately 57 million yen). KAMM Manufaktur is committed to further improvements and evolution to maximize the lightweight and sports car potential of the 912.
As such, the KAMM Manufaktur 912c is gaining attention as a model that reinterprets the charm of the classic Porsche 912 with modern technology, achieving both weight reduction and high performance. The 912c, with its exceptional performance from the full carbon body and beautiful design, will be an attractive vehicle not only for Porsche fans but also for many car enthusiasts!
